Fundraising in memory of Adam Bojelian

My Story

Adam Bojelian was a multi-award winning writer despite his young age. Adam died aged just 15 years from sepsis in 2015. Adam spent about 50% of his life in hospitals around the UK and recognised the importance of books to children in hospitals, especially during long stays. Adam was an ambassador for Read For Good and was instrumental in bring the ReadWell service to Leeds Teaching Hospital, where he spent the last months of his life. Adam said a good book was as important as a good doctor in hospitals, one helps your soul and the other your body.

20th January 2020 would have been Adam’s 20th Birthday. Adam’s Family want to make it a positive day in Adam’s memory, celebrating his great love of books and raising funds so more children can receive the brilliant Read For Good service In UK hospitals.

We are asking people across Twitter to join in a #AdsReadathon by tweeting films of themselves (or their pets) reading their favourite children’s story or book. We hope the kind people of Twitter will then be inspired to donate to Read For Good to support their hospital service, in Adam’s memory.

Huge thanks from Adam’s parents Zoe & Paul & his dog CharlieDog
